OVER THE KNEE BOOTS OUTFIT INSPIRATION
1. Shorts And Thigh High Boots Outfit
If you’re looking to show off a little leg, you can totally style your over-the-knee boots with shorts. This is an excellent way to make a bold style statement. My favorite way to style these boots with shorts is with a higher-waisted short that has beautiful gold detailed buttons. The button detail on the shorts adds a luxurious look to the outfit without costing an arm and a leg.
Zara has a ton of great options in the fall for these types of shorts. The material is a bit thicker, so your buns won’t freeze on those cooler nights out. Depending on the weather, you can go bare-legged or you can add black sheer tights to the outfit if you don’t want to completely expose your legs. Très chic!

2. What To Wear With Thigh High Boots On A Night Out
If you want to style your over the knee boots for a night out, you have many options to choose from. You can wear a dress, a romper, denim, shorts, a mini skirt…etc. The list goes on. For nights out, I usually opt for darker-colored outfits.
For an easy night out look, I stick to a dress or romper to pair with my over the knee boots. Rompers are great because if it’s breezy you don’t have to worry about your dress flying all over the place. The only issue with rompers is they can be a bit of a pain to take off when using the restroom. Pairing your boots with a nice black dress is classic and an easy way to look super chic without very much effort.

3. Dress With Thigh High Boots
While I opt for the classic dark colors for nights out, in the daytime I enjoy wearing my brighter colors. I personally don’t subscribe to the “no white after Labor Day” mantra that some subscribe to. I feel like it’s too limiting. For example, an all-white outfit in the fall can be incredibly chic and perfect for a daytime brunch. You can also wear a beautiful floral light-colored dress with lighter-colored over-the-knee boots in either the spring or even the fall.
To style my black over the knee boots I usually style them in the daytime during fall with a rust orange, red, or burgundy outfit. But if you find that another color goes better with your skin tone, style it with that color. The benefit of black over the knee boots is that they go with any and every color!
4. Over The Knee Flat Black Boots Outfit
For a casual and comfortable look that is a bit dressier than your standard jeans and sneakers outfit, opt for flat over-the-knee boots. There are definitely a lot of cute casual options when styling flat over-the-knee boots. One way is to style them with your favorite denim and a cute sweater. For a quick and easy on-the-go look like the one below, style your flat over-the-knee boots with a hoodie, denim, and your favorite accessories. Another casual option is to style them with leggings, a cute cardigan, and one of your favorite basics.
5. Over The Knee Boots With Jeans
For a casual but dressy look, opt for a simple mock neck top and jeans with your black over-the-knee boots. You can try a classic all-black look with a gorgeous houndstooth coat or even a camel coat if you’re styling your boots in the cooler months.
You can even break up the look with some dark blue denim or lighter-colored denim. This is where your basics come in handy. Having great basics in your closet will allow for versatility in styling various looks. If you look in my closet, I have tons of basics that I have collected over the years.
For tops, I try to keep the essential colors on hand: black, white, neutral, and grey. For bottoms, I keep a few pairs of jeans in different colors that I always turn to for a quick casual look. Also, try to keep a variety of sleeve lengths and necklines. Some of my absolute favorite places to pick up the basics are Revolve, Asos, Gap, Express, and Abercrombie.
