Want to get great skin without breaking the bank? Here are the top drugstore skincare products to keep your skin glowing all year round!
As a skincare fanatic, I do not discriminate when it comes to where I shop for skincare. You can find amazing products in the drugstore. Moisturizers don’t have to cost an arm & a leg to work. It is great to splurge on skincare but it isn’t always necessary.
Below are all products that you can find in your local drugstore and that you can implement into your skincare routine today! If you do not feel like going to the drugstore to purchase these items but would rather create a little haul for yourself, I have included all the links you need below.
This post is all about the best drugstore skincare products that you need.
BEST DRUGSTORE SKINCARE PRODUCTS
1. Drugstore Cleanser – CeraVe Foaming Cleanser
I used to struggle with hormonal breakouts around my nose and on my cheeks in my teenage years and early twenties. In addition to that my skin used to be super dry. One of the best tips that my dermatologist gave me was to stick with daily cleansers that don’t strip your skin to prevent your skin from overproducing excess oil. CeraVe cleansers are perfect for exactly that. CeraVe makes gentle cleansers that leave your face clean without leaving it stripped and dry. Below are my favorite CeraVe cleansers linked.

2. Drugstore Moisturizer – Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream
One of the first drugstore skincare products I ever used on my skin in my teens was the Nivea moisturizer. It was very thick and absorbed well but over time I found it to be too heavy for my skin type. Later on, Nivea came out with the Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream which is a lighter weight formula than the original cream but still does the trick.

3. Drugstore Makeup Remover – Garnier Micellar Water
Garnier Micellar Water is a great alternative to makeup wipes if you aren’t wearing a ton of makeup. I usually start with micellar water to break up the makeup first then follow it up with a cleanser to make sure all of my makeup is off. I haven’t had a breakout in years at this point and I think that the main reason is that I never ever go to bed with makeup on. Even if I am absolutely exhausted, I make it a point to remove all of my makeup. Micellar water is a great help with that.

4. Drugstore Face Scrub – St. Ives Apricot Scrub
Talk about a throwback! If you pick up any of the products mentioned in this list, go for this scrub. Not only is this product amazing for all types of skin, but it is also extremely affordable at $3.99. I think my tube lasted me for almost six months, you cannot beat that. This product has been around for years and the brand has added different versions of the scrub to its collection. I know so many people that come back to this scrub regularly. If you haven’t tried it out, this is a must!

5. Drugstore Night Cream – Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Cream
Olay is one of my favorite drugstore brands. I have used both their facial skincare and body care products for years and they work, period. This specific formula claims to work on oily skin, dry skin, combination skin, and mature skin. In the spring and summer, my skin tends to be more combination, while in the fall and winter it is on the dry side. With that being said, it did work for both my combination skin and dry skin.

6. Drugstore Sunscreen – La Roche-Posay Sunscreen
Although this sunscreen is a bit pricier than most drugstore items, it is well worth it. One of the best things about this sunscreen is how lightweight it is. I usually stick to the SPF 30 for daily use and the best thing about that specific one is that it is a cooling water-lotion sunscreen. It absorbs so well and very quickly. It also holds very well under any makeup. Sometimes I will layer this under some bb cream and call it a day.

7. Drugstore Clay Mask – Aztec Healing Clay Mask
What this mask essentially is, is bentonite clay. The first time that you try this clay mask, don’t freak out! It makes your skin tight and your face pulses a bit but the results are so worth it. The mask contracts parts of your face so it feels a bit tingly but it’s really nothing to worry about at all. I usually mix the clay mask with either water or I will sometimes mix it with apple cider vinegar for bonus skin healing effects. Just make sure to read the directions before use!

8. Drugstore Facial Serum – Loreal Age Perfect Midnight Serum
Loreal serums are amazing. Some of loreal’s serums can be better than some of the higher-end brands, in my personal opinion. According to their website, this serum specifically is designed for both morning and evening use. The main focus of this serum is replenishing the skin with the necessary antioxidants. After cleansing, apply a bit of this before your moisturizer for soft, glowing skin.

9. Drugstore Toner – Thayer’s Toner
There is no reason to spend a lot of money on toner when Thayer’s toner exists. This toner is alcohol-free and formulated with witch hazel so it is less likely to dry your skin out. Using this every day can tighten your pores and even control oil production in your skin. What I love most about it is that even when my skin feels dry, I can use a little bit of this and it leaves my skin feel moisturized, not stripped.

10. Drugstore Body Scrub – Soap & Glory The Scrub Of Your Life
I love going to spas and getting body scrubs. The feeling of freshly scrubbed skin on your body is truly the best. However, going to spas for scrubs is not only time-consuming, but it can also be expensive. This is where Soap & Glory comes in. I am an at-home scrub fanatic and let me tell you, this scrub gives you baby soft skin that smells absolutely incredible.

11. Drugstore Lip Balm – Vaseline Lip Therapy Cocoa Butter
This small tub of lip care goodness lasts forever and fits in your pocket. No matter how dry or chapped my lips get in the winter, the Vaseline Lip Therapy Cocoa Butter always takes care of it. This product is excellent for those cold winter days when no matter what you do you can’t seem to prevent your lips from getting chapped. Just apply a little bit of this before bed and you will wake up with soft luscious lips.
