Classics are a big trend in fall fashion. On the runways this season, we saw many quality pieces layered with trench coats and perfectly tailored denim.
We definitely saw prints, unique silhouettes, and 2010s style. Staples like kitten heels and off-the-shoulder tops have been reimagined for the new generation. (If you need a headstart on this trend for fall 2023, read this guide!)

My take on this fall trend is with a gorgeous turtleneck mini dress. This pairs beautifully with the red boots I’ve just shared, and it layers well with tights and a coat for colder days.

More and more, we’ve been seeing preppy classics come into fall. Items like this never go out of style. And simply mentioning “preppy classics” brings only one brand to mind: Ralph Lauren. They’ve created an iconic brand you simply can’t go wrong with.

I love this cable knit sweater that pairs with jeans, boots, and other staples for fall. A perfect layering piece, this sweater is a classy fall staple! I love the color, fit, and style of this piece.
This season runways brought us witchy styles straight out of Wednesday Adam’s closet. Each designer pulled out the satin, lace, and black velvet. My favorite was satin. There’s a trend of ‘workwear’ fashion that I’m seeing this fall – and alongside satin, you can really create some classic and gorgeous looks.

This wool suit might not have the drama we saw on the runways. It is definitely a classic piece.

I spoke at the beginning of this post about how we saw classic staples across the runways – with quality being the focus of creating a capsule wardrobe for fall. Do this by implementing classic fabrics. Like leather.

There were definitely many trench coats walking down the runways this fall. I knew I had to include a few in this post. This faux leather trench coat is gorgeous and layers well with sweater dresses and your favorite boots of the season.
This is one of the styles we’re seeing make its comeback this fall. I personally love a kitten heel, it’s a perfect shoe for taller women.
