Are you looking for recommendations on where to stay in clearwater beach? As someone who has been visiting this gem for years, I can safely say I got you covered.
I have been visiting Clearwater Beach, Florida for YEARS. I’ve been visiting since I was a little girl. I’ve traveled all over the world and this place is always my number one destination to relax and rejuvenate. The reason is that it is truly a place where you can let your hair down. There is something for everyone. Whether you are looking to have some beachside fish while wearing flip-flops or even if you are looking for a sunset dressed-up restaurant experience. This place truly has it all. Here are my top favorite places to stay.
This post is all about where to stay in clearwater beach.
Your Guide On Where To Stay In Clearwater Beach
Clearwater beach in essence is composed of north beach and south beach. Where you decide to stay will depend on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a super quiet, more residential feel, stay on north beach. If you are looking for a location closer to the restaurants and the hustle and bustle then south beach is where it’s at. I usually opt to stay on south beach primarily because I enjoy the ease of having stores and restaurants close by.
South Clearwater Beach
****Budget-Friendly Option****
Being that I have been coming to Clearwater Beach for a long time, I have had the opportunity to explore a ton of hotels at various price points. I have stayed at budget-friendly options and have also had more high-end experiences. My absolute favorite budget-friendly stay is hands down the Pelican Pointe Hotel & Resort. It is literally across the street from the beach, SUPER (and I’m crazy about this) clean and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Some units also have a kitchenette that you can use to cook some meals to save a buck or two. It is a no-frills place in the sense that you won’t be ordering room service. But if you’re looking for a budget stay this is a MUST.
Resorts
If you are looking for more of a resort-style feel with room service and a pool scene, the options below are for you.
Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach
This is currently my go-to place. The location of the Hyatt Regency is perfect. This hotel is located close to many restaurants, boat attractions, and the beautiful Pier 40. In addition to that, the hotel itself is loaded with incredible amenities. From a gym that includes a Peloton, a full-service spa, and even a coffee bar serving Starbucks.
One massive benefit of staying at the Hyatt Regency is the poolside cabanas that you can rent out for the day. These have been so helpful for the times when I’ve arrived super early. The price varies so much that I can’t even quote an accurate price here. All you need to do is give them a call the day of.
I highly recommend SHOR, the restaurant in Hyatt, even if you aren’t staying there. As a foodie, I am super picky about the places where I eat. I like to enjoy a nice tasty meal while I am traveling. SHOR serves up delicious meals with a New Orleans-style twist.
Wyndham Clearwater Beach
Located next to the Hyatt Regency is the Wyndham. I’ve stayed here once. Due to it being a fairly recent construction on Clearwater Beach, everything was absolutely gorgeous and brand new. The pool scene was super Miami-esque. There is fun music playing, people are all around having a great time, and drinks are being served.
The Sandpearl Resort
I’ve dined at Sandpearl resort. I haven’t stayed there but upon entering, it is visually stunning. It has an old-school Great Gatsby-style of vibe. It gets great reviews and based on the lobby, the rooms must be absolutely incredible. The dining experience was also surreal. Although it was the priciest dinner I’ve had on the beach, it was worth every penny.
I hope you enjoyed these recommendations. Leave me a comment on some of your favorite places to stay on the beach!
